In February 2001, at the invitation of Frédéric Galliano, Lipitone (aka Marc Chalosse) inaugurates the collection of Frikyiwa's label “Nuits sur écoute”, a sound transcription of the topography of a place.
Based on sounds recorded at night in Bougouni (Mali), this project ranges from traditional Mandingo music, electronic music, ambient, dub and radio broadcast.
Unity of time and place.
An evocative musical journey from Africa to listen preferably overnight.
Bougouni is a small rural town in Mali, 150 km from Bamako, on the road to Guinea.
This project also exist in a “live house music” version (concerts in Europe, Mexico, Tokyo ...)
